You're So Much More

I love reading books, books are my toys (chuckle). A few years ago, I remember my husband and I would go to Book Stars in Studio City regularly. One day, Matt went to the children’s book section to buy few uplifting books for work. What a good idea right! I then ended up buying few myself: “She Persisted,” “The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend,” “What Do You Do With an Idea,” and few others.

Are children’s books for college students or for adults? Is that weird?

Children books are so simple yet the message is so clear and uplifting. Sometime we need to reconnect with our kid nature in ourselves. Sometimes we need to be dorky for the moment, sometimes we need that clear guidance to light our being, sometimes we want to remember what was like to be a kid when we were fearless and free.

Last week, my agent connected with me about doing a fun project on a children book. It is a book by Mr. Rogers, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” and within the book, there is a poem titled, “You’re So Much More!”

I couldn’t say no. It was quite refreshing to sign, “You’re So Much More.” The message behind each word creates light in children’s’ hearts and me. It was a wonderful collaboration working with P. David Miller during our quarantine at home. Thank you, P. David! Thank you Brian for the ASL translations on this poem.

Enjoy the video, and share the video with your children, nieces, nephews, and love ones. Also, I have a request =) Within the next few weeks, buy one children book online for yourself or re-read your favorite children’s book.
